VinFast PH Opens More Dealers Nearing 60 Dealer Total Before Year Ends

Vietnam-based electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast has accelerated its market penetration in the Philippines by signing strategic Memoranda of Understanding with 13 major local automotive dealer partners. The agreements pave the way for the establishment of 27 new showrooms nationwide, marking a critical operational milestone as the brand works toward its target of establishing 60 operational dealerships across the archipelago within the year.

“The Philippines is one of the key markets in VinFast’s long-term growth strategy in the region and globally. Here, we are not only focused on expanding our sales network, but also on building a sustainable foundation for growth spanning products, services, infrastructure, and the broader EV ecosystem,” Antonio Zara, CEO of VinFast Southest Asia said in a press statement.

This aggressive retail expansion comes at a pivotal time for the Philippine automotive sector. Supported by the implementation of the Electric Vehicle Industry Development Act, the country is experiencing growing consumer interest in electrified transport, driven by tax incentives, exemptions from traditional traffic volume reduction schemes, and rising fuel costs. By rapidly scaling its physical footprint, VinFast aims to capture early market share in a rapidly evolving green mobility landscape.

The upcoming 27 retail and service locations will span the country’s three main island groups: Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao. Beyond consolidating its presence in established metro hubs like Metro Manila and Cebu, VinFast is extending its distribution footprint into emerging provincial markets including Subic Bay, Tacloban, and Cagayan de Oro. Each site will be constructed under VinFast’s global brand guidelines, combining vehicle display spaces with full-service after-sales support facilities.

To execute the expansion, VinFast is leveraging the local operational expertise and established commercial real estate networks of 13 Philippine automotive groups. The multi-dealer network includes Elite North Auto Cars Inc., MG Gateway Mantrade Corp., Grand Canyon Multi Holdings Inc., Britannica United Motors Incorporated, VF Auto Sto Tomas Inc., GR8 Marketing Motors Inc., ARCMA Motors Corporation, Autonomics Motor Corp., Gershom Car Trading Corp., Areza Motor Sales Inc., Central Auto Resources Inc., Autolink Global Motors Inc., and Greenport Mobility Inc.

Antonio Zara, Chief Executive Officer of VinFast Southeast Asia, emphasized that the Philippine market represents a core pillar of the company’s regional growth strategy. He noted that the manufacturer’s focus extends beyond unit sales to building out a complete zero-emission ecosystem, integrating vehicle sales, public charging infrastructure through V-Green, and dedicated technical after-sales support.

“With the support of our local partners, VinFast will continue to expand our operations in the years ahead, gradually making green mobility a more accessible and convenient choice for Filipino consumers,” Zara concluded.
