Shyam Metalics Targets Doubling Revenue by 2031 with ₹10,000 Crore Capital Expenditure Plan

Kolkata: Leading metal producer Shyam Metalics and Energy Ltd. has unveiled an ambitious growth strategy, aiming to double its revenue by 2031 through a planned capital expenditure (capex) of ₹10,000 crore. The investment will focus on expanding production capacity, enhancing operational efficiency, and diversifying the company’s product portfolio.

The company plans to invest across its steel, ferro alloys, aluminum, stainless steel, and value-added products businesses. The expansion is expected to strengthen Shyam Metalics’ manufacturing capabilities while increasing its presence in both domestic and international markets.

According to the company, the investment roadmap will support the commissioning of new production facilities, adoption of advanced technologies, and modernization of existing plants. The strategy is also aimed at improving cost efficiencies and creating higher-value products to meet growing demand from infrastructure, construction, automotive, engineering, and renewable energy sectors.

Industry experts believe the planned capex reflects strong confidence in India’s long-term industrial growth, driven by government infrastructure spending, urbanization, and rising manufacturing activity. The company’s expansion aligns with the country’s broader push to boost domestic steel production and strengthen its position in global metal markets.

Shyam Metalics expects the investments to contribute significantly to revenue growth over the next several years while enhancing shareholder value and generating employment opportunities across its operations.
