TANGERANG, Indonesia — XPENG Indonesia launched the regional debut of the XPENG L03 at the 2026 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show, marking the first public appearance of the AI-powered SUV coupe in Southeast Asia following its global unveil in Munich.
Operating through its authorized local distributor, Erajaya Active Lifestyle, the Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer used the exhibition at ICE BSD City to highlight its expansion across right-hand-drive markets under the banner “Physical AI for All.”
Designed under the direction of former Ferrari chief exterior designer JuanMa Lopez, the XPENG L03 features a fastback coupe silhouette with an aerodynamic drag coefficient of 0.228 Cd. The model is built on XPENG’s new global architecture and offers both pure battery-electric (BEV) and extended-range electric (REEV) powertrain options, with the hybrid variant claiming a combined driving range of over 1,000 kilometers.
Inside, the cabin relies on XPENG’s XOS 6 operating system powered by three in-house Turing AI chips delivering up to 2,250 TOPS of computing power. The digital cockpit centers on a 15.6-inch main touchscreen, a wide head-up display, active seat ventilation, and an integrated Google Maps Auto SDK interface. Active safety features rely on XPENG’s NGP (VLA 2.0) intelligent driving system.
Alongside the L03 debut, XPENG displayed its broader technology ecosystem at Hall 3A, including the Next P7 sports sedan, the XPENG GX mobility concept, the Iron AI humanoid robot, and the X2 flying car prototype. The company also exhibited its current retail models in Indonesia, led by the locally assembled G6 Pro crossover and the X9 electric MPV.
Erajaya Active Lifestyle CEO Djohan Sutanto noted during the event that XPENG’s local presence, which marks its first anniversary in the country, includes expanding sales and after-sales locations to 25 sites across Indonesia. To support vehicle charging, XPENG partnered with local charging operator Voltron to roll out 480 kW ultra-fast charging stations compatible with its 800-volt vehicle architecture.
The regional showcase comes as XPENG scales its footprint across ASEAN. While the Indonesian market serves as a key right-hand-drive hub where XPENG operates through local distribution partnerships to introduce its G6 and X9 models in Metro Manila.
