What has Donald Trump done for the country in his second term in office? He has bombed Iran and started another long war in the Middle East, leading to high gas prices and a ton of gas price volatility. He has added a bunch of tariffs to imported goods, which has significantly raised prices for Americans, especially average Americans just trying to get by. He has cut fuel economy regulations aimed at saving Americans money and increasing innovation in the auto industry, he has cut incentives for electric vehicles, and he has consistently tried to block cheap, clean, renewable energy projects while forcing utilities to keep dirty, old, expensive fossil fuel power plants open.

He has also made an absolute fortune in stock market trades (like no president in history) and an absolute fortune and a half on scam cryptocurrency schemes. And let’s not even bring up all of the wild side deals, family contracts, and general corruption that’s been taking place.

For some reason, Trump loves dirty fossil energy and is forcing this expensive option on the American public while being completely combative and menacing to new wind energy and solar energy.

Grocery prices are up significantly even though they were supposed to go down. Oil and gas prices are high because of a new war Trump started. The economy is struggling as the president consistently makes decisions that are harmful to the economy. Is there any surprise his approval rating just hit a record low?

“President Donald ‌Trump’s approval rating fell to a record low as Americans worried about high gasoline prices and appeared ready to punish his Republican Party in the November 3 congressional elections, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll that closed on Monday,” Reuters writes.

“Some 31% of Americans approve of Trump’s performance in office, down a percentage point from two weeks earlier and the lowest level in either of his presidential terms, the four-day poll showed.”

This has led to 35% of polled voters saying they’d vote for Republicans in a generic ballot if congressional elections were held today, while 47% said they’ve vote for Democrats. That’s not a good look for billionaire-led Republicans, which are clearly failing on the economy.

Of course, Republicans are prepping to claim the election was tainted and institute Martial Law if Democrats crush Republicans in the midterms, but that’s another story….

Women, especially, have shifted toward Democrats, but more men also support Democrats than Republicans based on the latest polling.

“Trump’s popularity has suffered since he ordered military strikes on Iran in February alongside US ally Israel. The war triggered a surge in gasoline prices, hitting household finances. Some 68% of Americans disapprove of Trump’s handling of the economy, including 37% of self-identified Republicans,” Reuters adds. The news outlet and polling firm didn’t add that many Americans are not happy about rising electricity prices and Trump’s alliances with crypto billionaires and fossil fuel billionaires over average Americans.

Finally, after decades of Republicans mismanaging the economy and starting wars in the Middle East, voters are learning to trust Democrats more when it comes to managing the economy. 40% of polled voters favor Democrats for management of the economy, while 33% favor Republicans.
